Southern Charm: What Happened To Craig Conover After Season 7

The cast of Southern Charm goes through nothing but drama on the show. Luckily, things in their real lives seem to go smoother, with just the normal ups and downs of life that happen when you don’t have producers artificially creating problems to boost ratings. Craig Conover’s life hasn’t taken the usual path, but since season 7 of Southern Charm, he has had some successes and reached a particularly big milestone that was years in the making.

2020 was a hard year for most people, including Conover. Southern Charm decided to keep filming, even allegedly in places that were experiencing high rates of positive cases. Conover reportedly contracted coronavirus, along with others on the cast. When a show about affluent people partying too hard continues filming during a pandemic, cast members testing positive seems like a likely outcome.

2021 is going better for Conover. He announced via Instagram that he was finally opening Conover Law Firm. As he said in the IG video, “My timing and path isn’t like everyone else’s. Just because someone 100 years ago started to do things a certain way doesn’t mean that everyone is trapped in that routine.” In early seasons of the show, Conover nearly graduated law school, but never completed his final paper or took the bar exam. After this information came out on Southern Charm, Conover went back and finished what he’d started and officially became a lawyer. Now he has his own modest law firm.

After season seven of Southern Charm wrapped, Conover also filmed the Bravo spin-off Winter House. Basically a dating show, Winter House puts a group of singles in a luxury winter getaway in Vermont and lets the relationship drama explode. Conover and Austen Kroll found the change in temperature between South Carolina and Vermont to be quite shocking. They did not have the right kind of clothing and had to invest in some winter gear to make it through the filming.

Between his new law firm, his existing business, Sewing Down South, and filming a second reality show, Craig Conover has plenty to do while he waits for season eight of Southern Charm to begin filming. With the lowest reported net worth among the cast, he is doing what he can to make his fortune. He has also said that he hopes his law firm will be able to help those in need who don’t have easy access to good lawyers, and that is a noble goal.
