WandaVision's Jimmy Woo Actor Unsure About Ant-Man 3 Return

Randall Park is currently starring in WandaVision as Jimmy Woo, but he isn't sure if he'll return in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Marvel Studios recently kicked off Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with their first Disney+ show. WandaVision is merely the beginning of plans for 25 confirmed upcoming MCU projects. While viewers still have to see how WandaVision ends, one of the breakout stars of the series has been FBI agent Jimmy Woo.

The MCU introduced audiences to Randall Park's character in Ant-Man and the Wasp a few years back, but his role was quite small. The movie concluded with Jimmy Woo setting Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) free from his house arrest and joking that they could see each other, even if it was just for dinner. This moment and his return in WandaVision have left fans hopeful Woo will return in the MCU afterward. There has even been an expectation he'll be back for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, but Park is not yet part of the confirmed cast members.

Now that there is a large portion of MCU fans demanding more appearances for Jimmy Woo, Extra asked Randall Park about his future in a recent interview. The outlet specifically questioned if he'll return for Ant-Man 3 since he was part of the last film. Park currently has no idea if he'll be back as Jimmy Woo in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, but he's ready to do so if Marvel Studios gives him the call.

I don't know. I haven't gotten the call. If I do get the call, I'm on it. If I don't get the call, that's fine too because I'm in Westview, New Jersey right now. You know, gotta focus on one case at a time.

The cast for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is already quite impressive this early on, even without everyone's new favorite FBI agent. The threequel will see Rudd return to star alongside Evangeline Lilly's Hope van Dyne. Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer are also confirmed to return as Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne. Meanwhile, Ant-Man 3 recast Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang and is officially set to include Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror. With the film's title indicating a story largely focused on the Quantum Realm, it is possible Jimmy won't have a place in the film after all.

Even if Jimmy Woo doesn't return in Ant-Man 3, it will be quite surprising if he doesn't return after the response to him in WandaVision. There are multiple calls for him to get a spinoff series, and it was recently revealed that the X-Files inspired Jimmy Woo spinoff idea is actually getting pitched to Marvel soon. Other fans are hoping that Jimmy becomes a central figure in an Agents of Atlas Disney+ series with Shang-Chi and other Asian superheroes. Whether it is a spinoff or Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, hopefully WandaVision isn't the last time he appears in the MCU.
