To those who are spoiled for choice with spoilers about The Bachelor season 25, Matt James telling a contestant he’s falling in love with her didn’t come as a surprise. Amidst the chaos the past few episodes have been, Matt’s declaration was refreshing. All signs say Matt’s "pretty woman," Rachael Kirkconnell, is the one who wins The Bachelor 2021. But Reality Steve’s latest spoiler about Matt and Rachael’s engagement may cause heartbreak for The Bachelor couple’s shippers.
Many were shocked with the developments of episode five of The Bachelor, from Anna Redman and Victoria Larson being shown the door, to the crowning of new antagonist MJ. However, what the internet found most odd was the one-on-one date between Matt and graphic designer Rachael. The Bachelor picking Rachael for his shopping date came as a surprise to the contestants, but fans were also left shocked when he presented her with overflowing bags of outfits picked by Beyoncé's stylist, Ty Hunter, and red-heeled Louboutins. The Georgia native Rachael has created noise online due to her alleged racist behavior, but on The Bachelor 2021, she has managed to stay drama-free, perhaps a trait that made Matt admit to “falling in love.” The season 25 leading man, who had never been in love before, struck a chord with Rachael, who weirdly echoed his feelings. Sure enough, Matt handed her the rose while speaking the L-word. Those following Reality Steve know that Rachael is the rumored winner of The Bachelor 2021. But according to a new spoiler, Steve says Matt and Rachael’s relationship may not last long.
In his recap for episode five of The Bachelor, RealitySteve boldly declared, “Matt did not propose to Rachael.” The spoiler guru for all seasons of the ABC show spoke about how an engagement at the end of The Bachelor is “pretty ridiculous,” considering the couple barely knows each other. But Steve also shared that with Matt not proposing to Rachael, people might assume they wanting to “take their time” for a “long, prosperous relationship.” The Bachelor expert then shockingly added, “Hell no,” and continued, “Everyone will basically say this relationship has zero chance because it doesn’t have that ‘label’ of engagement.”
Steve reminded Bachelor Nation how engagements on the show “don’t mean anything,” but added that his hot take is “these two won’t make it.” Reality Steve’s confidence comes from his claim that season 25’s Bachelor Matt is not ready for a serious relationship and “never was.”
Meanwhile, Steve did exclaim that Matt and Rachael “are still together today,” which The Bachelor fans confirmed with their Spotify playlist and latest charcuterie board theory. Rachel is a self-confessed “charcuterie boards” fan and Matt has become an expert at creating them, as per his TikTok and Instagram. In that case, perhaps, Matt saying, “Rachael is someone that I could see, at the end of this, getting down on one knee and proposing to,” could hold true for the future.
The Bachelor season 25 airs Mondays at 8 pm ET on ABC.
