Deavan has a messy reputation within the 90 Day Fiancé franchise and its large fanbase, as she has often been accused of both lying and being a negligent parent. After splitting with her 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way co-star Jihoon Lee, Deavan has been accused of withholding the former couple's son, Taeyang, from his father. Jihoon has been raising money on GoFundMe in order to launch a custody battle against his ex, while Deavan's new boyfriend Topher Park has been controversially referring to himself as Taeyang's father on social media. While many people, including Deavan's former friend Leida Margaretha, rallied behind South Korean Jihoon, Deavan announced that her five-year-old daughter Drascilla was abused by Jihoon. The shocking and currently unverified allegations come while Deavan is currently in the midst of other drama.
Deavan's new announcement regarding her daughter's alleged abuse came less than a day after she claimed she was taking a social media break following accusations that she aborted a previous pregnancy and portrayed it as a miscarriage for a storyline. It appears as though her social media hiatus was short-lived, as Deavan uploaded images of her daughter with the alleged abuse message. However, she angered fans by then sharing a highly edited photo of herself on her Instagram with the caption “My official statement about the ABUSE case 💔 #LinkInBio." The post has since been deleted, but not before a Reddit user shared a screenshot to the sub-Reddit r/90dayfianceuncensored with the caption, "Classy, using an alleged 'terrible abuse' as clickbate [sic]." The user continued that Deavan was showing audiences what a terrible and desperate mother and human she was by seemingly using her daughter's alleged abuse as a tool for getting viewers. It appears as though Deavan regretted her choice, as her Instagram post has since been deleted, though Reddit users are not happy with the mother for her current and past parenting choices.
Fans were quick to comment on the Reddit post and drag Deavan, who is back to sharing photos of herself on Instagram. "Some people are sadly professional victims," one person wrote. Deavan has been accused in the past of victimizing herself in situations. Due to her unreliable track record, many fans are hesitant to believe what she has to say. Another user commented, "Don't support Deavan and her clickbait bullshit." Others accused Deavan of making false claims and abusing her ex-husband.
