Fans are wondering why Kanye West was M.I.A. from Kim Kardashian's latest set of family photos. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star shared some Christmas flicks with the family and her followers were quick to point Kanye's absence.
Kim and Kanye have spent a big part of 2020 dodging divorce rumors that have been hurled their way. Speculation has surrounded the status of the superstar couple's marriage since Kanye offended his wife over the summer while campaigning his failed presidential bid. In the only rally held by the rap/fashion mogul, Kanye became emotional while revealing private information about his wife and their first pregnancy with daughter North West. Shortly after, paparazzi snapped photos of the two arguing inside of a car while Kim was filled with tears. In the days that followed, Kanye went on a Twitter tirade against his wife and mother-in-law Kris Jenner and accused them of having him in "the sunken place." However, Kim opted to stick by her husband's side despite never showing any public support for his presidential campaign. Since losing the election, Kanye has drawn back into seclusion while Kim has continued to publicly advocate for prison reform while promoting her beauty businesses and brand.
On Christmas, the KKW Beauty founder took to Instagram to share some photos she took for the holiday. While showing off her unique mock abs dress, Kim posed alongside her and mom, sister Kylie, Kendall, and Kourtney, as well as her and Kanye's four children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. While many of her followers commented on her green Gladiator-Esque dress she wore for the holiday, many others called out her husband's obvious absence from the pics. "Where's Ye," one fan asked with a series of question marks. "Is Ye there," added another. One follower replied to the question about Kanye and added, "I've been asking the same. His last post was about voting in NOVEMBER. LIKE where's Yeezy at?" Kim is known for ignoring shady comments from fans so she opted out of responding.
However, Kanye's absence in the pics comes after reports claimed the couple would be spending the holiday together. While it's likely Kanye just skipped out on taking any pics as he did on her birthday trip, fans of the couple think otherwise. Recent reports claim the couple is still married by living very separate lives. While Kim has been busy with her prison reform work, Kanye has been in Wyoming working on his music and fashion. He dropped his new project Emmanuel on Christmas day. While Kim is known to heavily promote her husband's ventures, this time around there weren't any posts she sent out letting her fans know to go listen to Ye's new music.
The tension between the two has been seemingly evident as they haven't been seen together as much as they were just earlier this year. While Kim has posted family photos with Kanye included on her Instagram, some fans have speculated it's her way of attempting to do damage control and maintain their happy image.
