Battle royale platformer Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is gearing up for its third season, so Mediatonic is pumping up anticipation for its upcoming third season by giving players a little sneak peek (major emphasis on "peek" and "little") of a newly developed level. The jellybean battler enjoyed tremendous success since its launch last year. While its popularity dipped with the rising stardom of rival Among Us, developer Mediatonic's continual stream of updates and features have made it one of the most popular games on Twitch, with over ten million copies sold on PlayStation Plus.
The studio remains as tightlipped as ever about the upcoming season, including what it entails and indeed, when it will actually start up, but it's not above teasing the masses with a glimpse of new levels or features. On Friday, Mediatonic kicked the weekend off with a screenshot of a recently tested Season 3 level posted to its official Twitter channel, giving players the first official glimpse of the upcoming season.
At the time of writing, there haven't been any updates on their Twitter feed since, so there's nothing else to go on about the next season other than a screenshot that doesn't offer up much by way of level details - there are round bits and square bits, in varying shades of pink and purple. It's hardly an in-depth look at what's to come, but it's certainly in keeping with Mediatonic's penchant for teasing their players and excellent social media presence. In the meantime at least, PlayStation 4 gamers looking to pick up the title can pick it up on PlayStation Plus at 20% off until November 30, and spend the holidays gearing up for Season 3 - whenever it starts up.
