Big Brother: Cody Nickson Calls Global COVID-19 Spread A 'Scamdemic'

Conspiracy theorist and Big Brother 19 contestant Cody Nickson has once again shared his views on the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, calling it a "scamdemic." When the fans were introduced to Cody on BB19, he identified himself as a 32-year-old construction sales representative from Plano, Texas. He was promptly evicted in week 2 after displaying one of the worst social games in the history of the show. However, as a decent competitive player, he ultimately won the Battle Back competition and got to return to the house. Nonetheless, the worst-case scenario happened: his then-girlfriend Jessica Graf went on to become the last pre-jury evictee, and Cody became the first jury member of the season. This meant that they were separated until the season's grand finale.

In the years that followed Big Brother 19, Cody and Jessica Nickson moved in together, got married, and had babies. Meanwhile, they also got compete on The Amazing Race 30, which they won, taking home the coveted $1 million grand prize. But Cody's relationship with the world of reality TV and the media outlets that cover it has been a contentious one, to say the least. For instance, the fans put him on blast for certain transphobic remarks that he made on BB19, which Cody flat-out refused to address or apologize for. On Instagram, Cody has also been spotted making certain problematic remarks that align with his views of US politics.

Now, BB19 jury member Cody Nickson is promoting his new company, Couple's Coffee Co., which sells ground coffee (for $14.95) and K cups (for $29.95). In one of his promotional efforts, Cody shared an Instagram Story (seen below) offering a 5% discount on all orders. For context, that discount is worth one dollar. For his customers to redeem this one-dollar discount, they must enter code "scamdemic" during checkout. Overall, this is yet another attempt from Cody to subtly suggest that the COVID-19 pandemic is a scam. Over the last few months, Cody has been very outspoken about his distrust of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a Veteran Marine who earned an associate degree in business management, it is unclear for one to identify what qualifies Cody to speak so confidently about immunology. In turn, the pandemic that Cody calls a "scam" has now reached 61 million people around the world and caused a total of 1.4 million deaths.

In any case, it seems like Cody Nickson has a lot of fun when he is criticized by Big Brother fans. In a separate Instagram Story shared on Saturday, November 28, a fan of Cody's pointed out that Twitter users were criticizing him on the platform. Cody replied, "Oh good... when Twitter is against you, you are typically on the correct side of things. They absolutely despise anybody who believes in God (...). We talk about God a lot here so I imagine we live rent free in a lot of their heads." For context, fan-favorite players like Kaysar Ridha, Dan Gheesling, Da'Vonne Rogers, Bayleigh Dayton, Jocasta Odom, and Bryan Ollie - to name a few - talk extensively about their faith on social media and aren't criticized for such.

The fans who voted for Cody to win America's Favorite Houseguest on Big Brother 19 can now save a dollar on their orders from Couple's Coffee Co. To do so, one must just remember the nickname that Cody gave to the COVID-19 pandemic.
