The Bachelorette: See Contestant Who Was Model For Mortal Kombat's Joker

In one of the most unexpected crossovers, someone from The Bachelorette is also in a legendary video game. Kenny Braasch, the boyband manager who greeted Clare in a T-shirt with her dogs on it, is the face of The Joker in Mortal Kombat 11.

Kenny Braasch met Clare on night one of The Bachelorette with 30 other men. He made himself stand out by wearing a T-shirt that had Clare's two dogs, Honey and Elbie, printed right on it. Over his T-shirt he wore a blazer, to keep things classy. Kenny's job description was listed as "boy band manager," and many fans chimed in that he looked exactly how they would imagine a boy band manager to look. Kenny was worried about not getting any time with Clare, and noted that it was all up to the shirt to get him through to week two. The shirt worked, because Kenny got a rose and moved on to week two. During the dodgeball date in the 2nd episode, Kenny was one of the men who had to strip into his jockstrap, and he was part of the group that bared it all by taking that off too. Video game fans watching might have wondered why Kenny looked slightly familiar during these episodes. Kenny is the face behind Mortal Kombat's Joker.

Animators for Mortal Kombat 11 used digital mapping to create their version of The Joker. This was done using Kenny Braasch's face as their base. When looking at pictures of The Joker and Kenny side-by-side, it's easy to see the resemblance. Kenny's version of The Joker, which was a part of the expansion pack of characters for Mortal Kombat 11, was announced in August 2019. However, after receiving fan complaints that The Joker looked too handsome and not enough like the DC comic book version, the character was re-designed to look more intimidating. In December 2019 the Mortal Kombat 11 trailer dropped, featuring a scarier Joker, though Kenny's face was still the base under all the tweaking.

Kenny's stint as the Joker isn't his only modeling experience. He's also runway modeled Neiman Marcus and been in Vogue Russia, according to The Chicago Tribune. And as we learned from The Bachelorette, besides modeling, Kenny manages boy-bands. He is the co-founder of The Right Stuff Entertainment, which creates live music acts. Mostly, that means cover bands who preform at The Bourbon Street, a large music venue in Chicago.

It's not clear yet if Kenny makes it to week three, since last week's episode ended before the rose ceremony could begin. However, next week we will all be looking closely at Kenny to see if his Joker alter-ego makes an appearance.
