Watch out world! Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Kim Kardashian West has been named the first-ever global cover star of Grazia magazine.
Kim’s name has been occupying headlines in recent months for reasons other than her business acumen. For a while, she was rumored to be on the verge of divorcing her husband, Kanye West. Their marriage was strained while quarantining together with their four kids in Calabassas. After Kanye announced his now-defunct presidential bid, he went public about personal information Kim preferred to keep private. In the followings months, Kanye’s apparent bipolar episode worsened, and divorce seemed certain. After the cloudy skies cleared during a private, marriage-saving trip, Kanye had another episode when he returned to Wyoming. Now, the couple seems to be on solid terms.
Business-wise, things are certainly looking up for Kim. The social media magnate announced on Twitter that she’s the first-ever global cover star of Grazia magazine. In total, Kim appeared on the cover designs for twelve different magazines for different country's publications. To name a few areas, she listed the United Kingdom, Italy, the Middle East, and India. The “groundbreaking” project was launched by Grazia UK just in time for Kim’s 40th birthday. Kim is no stranger to momentous magazine covers—she and Kanye were the first interracial couple to appear on the cover of Vogue. Check out one of her stunning covers in the post below:
The covers were photographed by Vanessa Beecroft in Kim’s home. In each cover, she’s wearing garments from her SKIMS shapewear line. For some, she’s posing against a mirror so you can see her famous curves from every angle. In others, she’s lounging in a car or on a couch. These are presumably for countries that prefer a more conservative cover design. In the tweet, Kim wrote “I’m grateful to be able to bring SKIMS to every woman, everywhere,” so the cover story will likely touch on how innovative her shapewear company has been. In a post on the Grazia international Instagram page, they also revealed Kim will touch on the COVID-19 pandemic, Black Lives Matter, and her plans for after Keeping Up With the Kardashians ends.
It’s safe to say Kim clearly isn’t going anywhere after the show that launched her career ends. She’s already making moves to assert herself as a global businesswoman. With the impacts she has already made in the past ten years, it’s no wonder GRAZIA chose Kim to be their first global cover star.
Keeping Up With the Kardashians airs Thursdays at 8 pm ET on E!.
