Ser Bronn Of The Blackwater was a character unlike any other in Game of Thrones. Bronn's childhood was the perfect example of a life of a poor man looked in the the Seven Kingdoms. It is interesting to listen to the sellsword describing how he broke his nose countless times learned so much without going to "fancy lad school".
From being Tyrion's bodyguard to becoming the lord of Highgarden and the master of coin, Ser Bronn's story was the best rags to riches story of Game Of Thrones, but his arrogance and loyalty to nothing but coin also made him a nuisance on many occasions.
10 Hated: His Loyalty To Nothing
Bronn fought dirty, but he was a great fighter, which is why he was the only person whose fighting fans would enjoy watching in King's Landing after Sandor Clagane's exit. From the start, when he accompanied Tyrion and Catelyn Stark on their way to the Eyrie, he fought bravely, saving both nobles from the wrath of the Hill Tribes.
Bronn also knew so much about the common folk that the rest of the nobles didn't seem to understand, which is why he made such a great knight. His agility with the sword also made him invaluable in King's Landing, although he always fought for whoever paid the most coin, which made him a less admirable person.
9 Loved: Saving Tyrion At The Flawed Trial In The Eyrie
Catelyn was wrong to take Tyrion to Eyrie to prosecute him for a crime he didn't commit, and no one in the Eyrie seemed to see reason except Bronn. Catelyn Stark's blindness towards her real enemies (who included her sister) led her to make the wrong decision, and ironically Bronn saved one of the most important people in the future of her house.
Although Bronn fought dirty, his victory was well deserved, and Tyrion, despite his many flaws, didn't deserve to die that day. It would have been better if he had entered lady Stark's service rather than follow Tyrion, though.
8 Hated: His Backwardness
Bronn's friendship with Tyrion was actually built because of their mutual love of all vices. While his indulgences didn't affect his ability to fight, he was still a hard man to deal with because he didn't seem to know what was important. Bronn didn't know how money lending worked and didn't seem to understand why he needed to pay back money after he borrowed it.
He also didn't care if other lenders refused to lend him money because he refused to pay back his previous debts. Ser Bronn's perfect death would be in his bed with his sons fighting over his money. He also didn't see the need to go to fancy lad school if he could learn everything without it. Bronn's type of kingdom would be too lawless to be governed.
7 Loved: Saving King's Landing On Blackwater Bay
Bronn was a lucky man that always seemed to find his footing in the worst of circumstances, and that is exactly what he did at Blackwater Bay. Tyrion had the idea of using wildfire against Stannis' fleet, but he needed Bronn to shoot the arrow that ignited the water.
Bronn also came in handy in ensuring the city sustained the attack, even saving Sandor Clegane, who didn't exactly like him, while at it. His service at the bay made his name as a warrior and also made him increase his price as a sellsword.
6 Hated: Training Jaime To Fight With The Left Hand
Jaime Lannister elicited mixed emotions among the fans of Game Of Thrones by being the only halfway decent man that wouldn't see the light. His love for Cersei made him hateful and dangerous, and losing his fighting arm seemed to have served some level of justice.
Then comes Bronn, and then Jaime regains his confidence and goes back to fighting, but he's responsible for the deaths of some great characters because of it.
5 Loved: Convincing Jaime To Come To Tyrion's Aid
Tyrion was the best of the Lannisters, and he always tried to do what was right. When he was imprisoned after Joffrey's death, he seemed to have lost everyone, including Bronn. Bronn, however, while training Jaime to fight again, told him how his little brother made Jaime his first choice when he needed a champion in the Eyrie.
Reminding Jaime of how Tyrion loved him and how much he needed him triggered the events that allowed Tyrion to escape King's Landing alive.
4 Hated: Choosing Cersei Over Tyrion
Cersei promised Bronn a noble wife and a castle, and he was stupid enough to choose her. Tyrion is the only Lannister that always paid his debt and also kept all his promises. However, with the promise of a castle and the noble Lollys Stokeworth for a bride, Tyrion's gold didn't sound so prestigious to Bronn anymore.
Tyrion desperately needed a friend, but Bronn chose Cersei, saying, "I like you, my friend, I just like myself more." Funny as he sounded, he was serious, and that became the first time he didn't answer Tyrion's call.
3 Loved: Saving Jaime From The Dragons
Jaime rarely acted emotionally, but his decision to attack Daenerys with Drogon looking right at him during his battle with Dany was crazy. Jaime hadn't completely changed at the time, but he was at least keeping Cersei in check, which made him the only sensible person in King's Landing.
Bronn tackled him into the water just in time to avoid Drogon's killer flames, preserving him to fight for the living a short while later.
2 Hated: Shooting Drogon
The battle with Dany's forces opened Bronn's eyes to the actual danger he faced if he continued fighting for Cersei. When Bronn loaded Qyburn's Scorpion and took the first shot at Drogon and Daenerys, it seemed as if he would shoot them down, and that would be catastrophic.
His second arrow hit Drogon in the shoulder, and everyone that loved Daenerys and Drogon couldn't help but hate him. The sight of the mother of dragons struggling to hold on while poor Drogon went down head-first was difficult to watch. Justice was served in the end, as Drogon's flames ate up his scorpion.
1 Loved: His Faith In Tyrion
After losing the spoils of Highgarden to the flames, Bronn knew that Cersei would never keep her promises to him even if she survived the war to come. He still had the option of taking the gold Qyburn offered as payment for the hit on her brothers, though.
When he threatened Jaime and Tyrion with the crossbow, everyone thought he would lose it and probably kill Tyrion, but he chose reason over gold for once in his life. For a second time, he trusted Tyrion on his promises, even though Tyrion didn't seem to have his game together at the time.
