Fall Guys Season 2 First Full Stage Knight Fever Revealed In Video

Fall Guys, the widely played platforming battle royale game, has revealed its first Season 2 stage: Knight Fever. Since Fall Guys's release this August, the game has exploded in popularity with players simultaneously falling in love with the cute, bean-shaped character models and climbing over a mountain of bean-shaped opponents to achieve victory.

Though Fall Guys has made considerable waves for people stuck at home and searching for light-hearted and competitive fun, many have been hoping for some new and updated stages to liven up a solid but somewhat stagnant roster of levels. The last major update for Fall Guys came about shortly after the game's release and fixed a number of issues with lobby wait times, visual cleanup, and cheating, among others. In addition, Fall Guys creator Mediatonic announced that Season 2 would take on a more medieval aesthetic, along with new stages, new obstacles, and new skins. Most interestingly, developers at Mediatonic hinted at new gameplay mechanics in the Season 2 stages, including variants of stages that would require solo players to sometimes work together to progress to the finish line.

According to IGN, the first new stage is called Knight Fever and is intended to be the first-round race with a full 60-player pack. Ideally, the race would whittle away about 25 percent of players before the winners progress on to the next round. The Knight Fever stage itself is reportedly narrow and crowded, replete with swinging scythes, moving drawbridges, and plenty of opportunities to fall off the path. To be more specific, Knight Fever contains two uphill sections with spinning blades and holes in the floor, followed by spike-filled spinning logs for players to traverse, a downhill slime slide (also with spinning blades), a straightaway with swinging spiked logs and holes to fall through, and drawbridges unpredictably opening and closing before one can reach the finish line.

Given that many players have pretty much mastered many of the game-opening Season 1 mini-games, Knight Fever is intended to be something of a "skill check" to test the abilities of players who would otherwise breeze through the first-round clamor with relative ease. Though no one in the player base will be able to try this stage until later this week, Knight Fever does indeed appear to be uniquely challenging, while also maintaining a familiar and recognizable format.

Fall Guys has no doubt captured the attention of millions of players, and so the introduction of this new season is a great opportunity to not only bring more players into the fold, but also showcase the inventiveness and versatility of Mediatonic's development team. Keep an eye out, as the Fall Guys Season 2 update should drop on October 8.
