Zendaya Is Flattered Vivica A Fox Wants Her to Star In Kill Bill 3

Zendaya has said that Vivica A. Fox's suggestion she plays her on-screen daughter in a potential Kill Bill Vol. 3 is an honor and that she's flattered. Fox, who played the role of Vernita Green, aka Copperhead in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill films, made the suggestion earlier this year, saying that Zendaya's star power would likely get the movie greenlit. In the first film, Fox's character is killed by Uma Thurman's Bride while her daughter Nikkia stands by and watches. In a set up for a possible sequel, The Bride says to her that if she still feels "raw about it," when she's all grown up, she can pay a visit to The Bride to exact her revenge.

Now that it's more than 15 years since the film's release, fans have said it's time for Tarantino to pay off that line by making the third film, but this time focusing on Nikkia as a young adult seeking revenge on The Bride for her mother's death. Fox suggested Zendaya in an interview with NME, saying she's got the right looks and height, to take on the role, and that it would be great to see the young star kick butt in a Tarantino movie. The idea quickly took hold online, with fans even coming up with posters for the film.

Now, the star of Euphoria, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Dune has responded to the suggestion in an interview with Empire saying that she's "honored" by Fox's suggestion. She added that while she's "flattered," there is no plan for her to star in a potential Kill Bill 3 and that the internet has run with the idea. Nevertheless, she doesn't rule the possibility out entirely. You can read her comments below.

I saw that! I was quite honored that she would say that. Obviously she’s incredible and I’m very flattered that she would think of me. You know, it’s just an idea. The internet kinda takes things and run with it.

While Tarantino has gone back and forth over the years on whether Kill Bill 3 will happen or not, his latest word on the matter was that he's pitched an idea to Uma Thurman and that it could take place in three or so years. However, that should be taken with a pinch of salt, given that Tarantino often speaks about movie ideas that come to nothing.

The prospect of a third movie in the series is indeed tantalizing, particularly if it is told from the perspective of Nikkia. Rather than Thurman starring as The Bride, she could be presented as the villain in this third film, and could even have her daughter, Maya, who appeared in Tarantino's Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, play her on-screen daughter, B.B. The plot possibilities are almost endless, and it would undoubtedly be a popular movie, given Zendaya's status as a rising star in Hollywood. One wonders what Tarantino has to say about all these Kill Bill Vol. 3 suggestions?
