The Brady Bunch is a quirky fixture of popular culture. It was a big deal to see a blended family in the '70s, and it's fun to look back on the fashions, sayings, and home decor of the day. Mike, Carol, Alice, Greg, Peter, Bobby, Marcia, Jan, and Cindy are one big, happy family.
With their iconic theme song and their memorable stories, the Brady Bunch bring fans back time and time again. Even though they're all lovable in their own ways, some members of the family are way more likable than others.
10 FANS CAN'T STAND: Marcia
In one sense, Marcia was the girl every young woman wanted to be. She was popular, stylish, and smart, and she always had a date for Friday night. But on the other hand, Marcia is probably the most vain character on the show.
She gets too self-absorbed at times and neglects to consider others' feelings until it is too late. For every eye roll at "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia," there is also an admission that the series would not be the same without the eldest Brady girl. One thing fans actually like her for is coining the iconic clapback "Sure, Jan."
9 FANS LIKE: Mike
Mike Brady is a stand-up guy who rules fairly and speaks deliberately. He goes to work at the architectural firm day after day to support his family, but he still makes time for them and even takes them on epic vacations.
From the backyard to the Grand Canyon, Mr. Brady is a serious but loving father, portrayed by the late and legendary Robert Reed.
8 FANS CAN'T STAND: Oliver
It's not his fault, and he's a cute kid, but fans aren't crazy about cousin Oliver. Interestingly, this youngster isn't even an original member of The Brady Bunch cast.
Because he comes along in the fifth and final season, Oliver doesn't have much time to build chemistry with the cast before the show's end. Unfortunately and by no doing of his, Oliver has been made fun of throughout the years.
7 FANS LIKE: Peter
Like the other kids, Peter Brady makes many mistakes, but there's something endearing about him. The middle Brady boy famously struggles through his changing male voice, and there are plenty of other solid storylines around Peter.
He learns some valuable lessons as he grows up, like "spying on people is bad," and "humility is a virtue." Peter is a mischievous goofball who plays a few too many practical jokes, but fans still love him.
6 FANS CAN'T STAND: Jan
Vanity is not reserved for Marcia Brady alone. As the middle sister, Jan Brady feels lost at times. She fumbles through growing up a little more than the average person and puts a lot of emphasis on looks.
For example, when Jan sees a picture of her Aunt Jenny as a girl, she realizes that the two are youthful lookalikes. But then Jan meets the woman and worries she'll grow up to look like an aunt she finds ugly. Jan complains a lot and has a frequent "woe is me" attitude, but fans shouldn't be too hard on her.
5 FANS LIKE: Cindy
Some viewers don't give Cindy Brady enough credit. The child is characterized as the cute one since she is youngest, and she has a hard time breaking out of that by the end of the series.
Even if Cindy is a snoop, she just wants to be loved, and she really cares about being the best version of herself possible. Fans can see this in her from beginning to end.
4 FANS CAN'T STAND: Bobby
Bobby Brady is an interesting case. Like the other children, Bobby only acts out in his attempts to be noticed rather than doing so out of malice. The youngest Brady boy isn't so bad, but fans can't stand his worst moments, like that time he pretended he was sick in order to get a visit from a star athlete.
Bobby can also be a sore loser in his efforts to compete with his older brothers, which certainly doesn't help his case.
3 FANS LIKE: Alice
The Bradys would be nowhere without Alice Nelson, their faithful housekeeper. Alice only quits when the Brady kids are awful to her, but she still comes back. The strong and dependable woman puts up with a lot of undue stress from those kids, but she loves them through their worst days.
Alice's smile lights up a room, and even though she should be allowed to wear her own outfit, her blue dress is a total fashion moment.
2 FANS CAN'T STAND: Greg
Where to begin with Greg Brady; he is just as selfish as Marcia, even though he tries to be a good role model to his brothers. This budding musician has an inflated ego since the ladies do like him, but he is known to have a bad attitude that showed up a few too many times. He often lacks patience.
Even fans who can't stand Greg still acknowledge his importance in completing the six Brady kids, though, so at least he has that going for him.
1 FANS LIKE: Carol
Carol Brady, played by the late Florence Henderson, is the heart of the Brady family. She has her flaws, but this unforgettable mom is an important part of sitcom history. It could be argued that most sitcom moms took notes from Carol, as her influence is still felt even in today's modern sitcoms.
She gives her six children equal love and attention, works with Mike to create a lovely home, and is a consistent and reasonable person. And everyone knows that Mrs. Brady's hair is groovy, too.
