Big Brother is a show that pits 16 or fewer strangers against each other, as they compete in one house together for the summer. They are out to win a cash prize of $500,000. Some of the contestants, known as "houseguests," come into the game married or in a relationship back home, but that's not the case for all of them. Some of the houseguests fall in love inside the Big Brother house while competing for the grand prize. That was the case for two Big Brother 20 houseguests, Bayleigh Dayton and Christopher "Swaggy C" Williams.
When viewers tuned into Big Brother 22: All-Stars' premiere on Wednesday, August 5, they saw BB20 11th place finisher Bayleigh Dayton returning to redeem herself and compete for the grand prize, this time without Swaggy C competing by her side. The couple met while competing together on BB20 and were inseparable, up until Swaggy C was the second houseguest evicted from the game on day 23. Despite this, Swaggy C went on to propose to Bayleigh during the BB20 finale, and she happily accepted his proposal. The pair, known to many as "Swayleigh," went on to secretly marry on February 17, 2019.
While in the Big Brother house, Bayleigh struggled to make it very far in the game without her ride or die by her side, becoming the first jury member of the season. In a video posted to the couple's joint YouTube account, Bayleigh addressed pregnancy rumors that were going around. She also talked about how, even though Swaggy was evicted early on in the game, they were inseparable while in the house together and that they did love each other, which resulted in intimate moments in the house. Those moments resulted in their conceiving a child. Unfortunately, during her time in the jury house, Bayleigh suffered a miscarriage, most likely due to the stress of the game. You can see the couple discuss the rumors in the video below:
Around two years after their time on BB20, the couple made their debut on a different network, this time to compete on The Challenge: Total Madness, a season unlike none any other that preceded it. On this season of the hit MTV series, in order to make it into the finals, contestants needed to go down into an elimination round and win, which earned them a red skull. Without a red skull, they wouldn't make it into the finals. Even though they had earned a red skull, it didn't mean that they were safe from every other elimination. Contestants could be thrown into more elimination rounds and could possibly be eliminated from the game.
While competing together, the couple collectively made it into five tribunals, with Bayleigh winning three daily challenges, earning her a spot in the tribunal as well as safety from elimination, whereas Swaggy only won two daily challenges, earning him a spot in the tribunal and safety from elimination twice. However, another twist would soon shake up the game. If the contestant made it into the tribunal, they could throw themselves into the elimination round to try and earn their red skull. However, that came with great risk because if they lost that elimination round, they would be no longer be safe and would be eliminated from the game.
When it comes to elimination rounds, Swaggy C was sent down into elimination in episode 12, after being voted in by the tribunal to compete against The Challenge vet Cory Wharton, who was voted in as the house nominee. Both competitors were trying to earn red skulls, but only one could win and earn it. Cory ultimately beat Swaggy in the elimination round, earning his red skull and eliminating Swaggy, leaving him in 8th place for the guys and Bayleigh without her husband in the game. As for Bayleigh, she went into her first elimination two episodes later and beat fellow challenge vet Aneesa Ferreira, earning her red skull and place in the final. In the very next episode, Bayleigh avoided going into the final elimination round against Jennifer "Jenny" West, officially earning her spot in the final and closer to the cash prize.
According to The Challenge host T.J. Lavin, this was one of the most brutal finals that the show has ever seen, since the remaining nine competitors would be climbing 12-miles. They would be trekking in freezing-cold temperatures. Bayleigh suffered an injury during the first round of the final that she became unbearable. This made her quit the competition. Her decision left her in third place for the girls after another competitor, Melissa Reeves, made it to the finals but quit before the first and only elimination round in the final. Despite thinking that she tore her MCL, it was revealed during part one of the reunion that Bayleigh (who went to the hospital in Austria where she was competing) it was just severely sprained. It was still discouraging news, as she is a runner, but she managed to work through it.
Currently, Bayleigh is still in the BB22 house but is currently sitting on the block with Da'Vonne Rogers, who also happens to be her best friend in the house. It is uncertain what the outcome of this week will be, but it seems like the target is on Bayleigh, If everything goes according to plan in the BB22: All-Stars house, she will be the houseguest evicted come Thursday night. One thing that viewers of the show know is that Swaggy C doesn't want to see his wife stressed out or sad over the game anymore, based on a recent tweet that he posted. The couple met during this game two years ago, and it seems like this is a love that is going to last for many years to come.
Big Brother 22 All-Stars airs Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 8 PM ET on CBS.
