What will The Real Housewives of New York look like after Dorinda's departure. Fans know it will be difficult saying goodbye to the quick-witted housewife since the news came as a shock.
The “make it nice” housewife has brought fans seasons of enjoyment. During season 12, Dorinda may have gotten off to the wrong start as she came in hot with her grumpy attitude, but that did not stop her from having a good time on the newest episodes. For the most part, Medley tried to not offend any of the women but failed when it came to them cornering her about her anger issues. But most of the Big Apple housewives have noticed something has been off in their dear friend. Many fans were aware that Medley lost her late husband, Richard, as they have watched her mourn him during past seasons. She often shared about the times she spent with him and the places they traveled, letting fans feel as if they had met Richard themselves. It seems the newfound stardom may be taking a toll on the blonde.
Medley joined the ladies of the Big Apple back in 2015 when season 7 aired. The opinionated blonde stole viewers' hearts since she often tried to right the world one drink at a time. The reality star prides herself on being a great host while also being a great friend. She is best known for her amazing one-liners, which have garnered numerous memes and the privilege of being quoted by women everywhere. Sadly, on Tuesday, Dorinda announced via Instagram that she would be leaving the franchise once and for all.
The hits keep coming to fans of The Real Housewives of New York as they must prepare themselves to say goodbye to fan favorite. Honestly, many steadfast viewers do not know if it is possible. Dorinda has brought a sense of street smarts to the show that most of the women lacked, i.e. Ramona Singer and Luann de Lesseps. The mother of one never shied away from a confrontation and at times, fought a bit dirty, but that is what made Dorinda so relatable to Bravo viewers. She always took great pride in nurturing her friendship and giving what she could to those she loved. But what does her departure mean for the franchise? Well, it means fans will lose a very important straight talker who did not let the spotlight change who she was. Dorinda was a true survivor, much like Bethenny Frankel. She had gone through some of the worst loss a person could imagine, came out on the other side, and tried her best to go on. This is a quality that will be hard to mimic when adding a new housewife.
The loss of Dorinda as a Bravo housewife comes at a time when TV viewers needed her most. 2020 has kicked all of our butts and it would have been nice to see a friendly face next season. Hopefully, Andy Cohen and the ladies will do it up at the reunion, Dorinda deserves that much respect. She has held the golden apple for the last time, clip!
