James Wan Says Aquaman 2 Will Be More Serious and Grounded in Our Modern World

During DC FanDome’s Aquaman panel, James Wan and Patrick Wilson reflected on the first movie but still managed to slip in a few details about the anticipated sequel. The most important thing Wan revealed was that the sequel would be more serious and grounded in our world.

“I would say the sequel will be a little more serious and a little more relevant to the world we’re living in today,” Wan said.

When he asked Wilson what he was looking forward to, the actor replied he wanted to see more worlds. Naturally, Wan assured him there will be plenty of new unique places to explore once the sequel finally rolls around.
