Elite: 5 Most Likable Characters (& 5 Fans Can't Stand)

Netflix Original, Elite, is a teen thriller, which perfectly sums up the power people with a lot of money have in their hands. The story is gripping, addictive, and there are a lot of characters, which means the fans are very rarely bored. Every episode of the series leads the show to a new direction and while some things are predictable, more often than not, there are some shocking moments that lead to brilliant drama.

The Spanish show is full of glamour, charisma, hypocrisy, and love. There are some characters in the critically acclaimed series who are easily hateable, while some, almost always, hit the right chord.

10 Like: Omar

Nadia's brother, Omar is first introduced in the series as the person everyone goes to if they require drugs but later, he becomes one of the most understanding human beings one could ever wish to meet. Honestly, he is the kind of friend everyone must have in their lives. He is selfless, dedicated, and an open soul, who cannot live inside cages. Although he leaves his family after a heated argument, he matures and forgives his father.

9 Can't Stand: Valerio

Another drug addict in Las Encinas, Valerio is Lucrecia's brother and one of the most careless characters in the series. He just doesn't care about anyone but himself, at least, at the start. But he grows up and recognizes that the world is much bigger than his shenanigans. At first, the fans just cannot stand the sight of him but towards the end of season three, he kind of redeems himself.

8 Like: Ander

Ander is one of those rare rich boys in the series who don't come across as ill-mannered and self-centered. He is quite awkward, socially, but that's because he is very shy in front of strangers.

He isn't an open book, who'll tell anything to anyone, instead, he usually takes time before deciding on things. He suffers from cancer and while that does bring him down a little, he never loses his perspective.

7 Can't Stand: Cayetana

Cayetana is a girl who is trying everything she can to fit into a society she isn't meant to be in. She is the daughter of a cleaner, who gets into the school through scholarship and she lies to everyone that she is very rich, just because she wants them to accept her. Still, that's not the reason the fans hate her; it's the fact that she helps Polo in covering up the murder of Marina. And she does that just to get the life Polo could possibly offer.

6 Like: Samuel

Samuel is a kid, who didn't want to join the school because of his honor. He has always been someone who isn't willing to take any help. Although he is quite passionate about almost everything in his life, he does have a solid sense of where he comes from. He will never leave his grassroots and that's why no one can buy through money. The worst thing about him is his lack of patience but that's what comes with being too emotional, in the end.

5 Can't Stand: Marina

The girl around whom the story in season one revolves, Marina, is someone who doesn't know what she wants. She is just making things up as she goes along and even though she knows that, there's no chance she would ask for any kind of help or open up to anyone.

RELATED: Elite: 5 Times We Felt Bad For Guzmán (& 5 Times We Hated Him)

She is a rebel and quite good at it. Marina just doesn't like the fact that she is born in a rich family and she would do anything to prove her point.

4 Like: Guzman

Marina's brother, Guzman, comes across as self-centered in the first couple of episodes in the series but after he meets Nadia, his behavior changes drastically. Although he can be cocky at times, Guzman is fair in his assessment of an individual. He doesn't want to be friends with everybody but if he sees someone in trouble, more often than not, he would offer to help. His relationship with Nadia is one of the best things about the show.

3 Can't Stand: Lucrecia

Lucrecia is what one calls a proper snob. She is disrespectful, cocky, unethical, and above all, not a really good friend, although the last notion changes as the series enters the third season. She mistreats every single new student who comes through the doors and she judges them by the money they have. While she doesn't seem to have a feeling called compassion, Lucrecia is one hell of a competitor. She can go to any lengths if she wants to win something.

2 Like: Nadia

There's no character in the series more complex than Nadia. On a daily basis, she has to deal with her family who does not give her any freedom while also making sure that her grades don't fall off. There's a huge amount of pressure on her and it is a testament to her mental strength in the way she deals with every problem in her life. Besides being mature, Nadia is also a very good friend to almost everyone in the school.

1 Can't Stand: Polo

Polo is the one because of whom everyone's life at Las Encinas becomes a living hell. He murdered Marina, just to get back in the good books of Carla, who didn't want anything to do with him. And by doing that, he dragged Carla into this precarious situation. Polo isn't necessarily a bad human being but because of one mistake, everything changes. To keep hold of one lie, he made many people suffer and in the end, he recognized his mistakes.
