Cody's Brother Paulie Calafiore Reveals His Strategy for Big Brother 22

With Cody Calafiore appearing as part of Big Brother 22: All-Stars, it was inevitable fans would be talking about his real-life big brother Paulie Calafiore. Paulie was on Big Brother 18, and has some opinions about how he would play this season of Big Brother.

Paulie Calafiore followed up his brother's appearance with his own Big Brother season. Though he was not able to secure a win either, he was able to launch a successful reality TV career. Paulie went on to star in a season of Ex on the Beach and, more notably, MTV's The Challengewhere he made a name for himself as a serious competitor. In three seasons of The Challenge, he made it to the final two twice, and got very close the third time. Since then, he has launched a business devoted to fitness and nutrition called Awake the Lion. As recently as this week, he announced his involvement in a movie project with his Challenge costar Cara Maria Sorbello.

Despite his very full plate, Paulie has taken time to support his brother Cody on BB22 with social media posts and even a #teamcody shirt available on his website. Recently, he spoke on the podcast I Feel Tried and gave more insight as to how he would have played this season of Big Brother. When asked who he would have aligned with this season, Paulie's first answers came as a shock to no one: his Challenge/BB castmates Bayleigh Dayton and Da'Vonne Rogers. However, his next two were a little more surprising, considering who his brother is working with. Paulie said he would have chosen to align with Dani Donato Briones and Janelle Pierzina. While Cody and Dani are working closely together in the house, he and Janelle are firmly on opposite sides.

The former BB houseguest went on to explain that he was surprised Cody and Janelle were not working together, and felt if they had spoken more that would likely have happened. Lastly, he said he might have worked with Ian Terry. He pointed to the importance of having a well-balanced alliance in strengths for both physical and mental comps. He talked more about how those same people would also be good targets if you aren't working with them. He spoke of Janelle's impressive game history as a competition beast. While Paulie referenced his own history with battle backs, when it comes to future seasons of Big Brother, it seems the reality star sees himself as a better fit for shows like The Challenge. It's hard to disagree with the level of impact he has had on the three seasons he played. He also addressed his controversial removal from the lineup of Season 35. While the details remain vague, he spoke of the attempt by a group of people to have him removed saying that "people get desperate" and this time "their hail mary worked." It remains to be seen if the 31-year-old New Jersey native, now residing in Montana, will be back on reality tv any time soon.

Fans of the Calafiore brothers will have to be content with just one of them on their screens for the time being. As for whether Paulie himself will be on The Challenge again soon, he made it clear he would come back if asked, so the ball is clearly in MTV's court.
