Everything Katherine Langford Has Done Since 13 Reasons Why

Katherine Langford first caught audience's attention as Hannah Baker in Netflix's hit teen drama 13 Reasons Why, and she hasn't stopped landing roles in high-profile projects since. She has since stepped into the leading role of another Netflix show Cursed, but has started to build a nice career for herself in between.

Thanks to its immense popularity, 13 Reasons Why acted as a launching pad for Langford's career, not to mention the careers for several other actors and actresses on the show. 13 Reasons Why explored her character's suicide and the ripple effects it had on her classmates, with that arc being the primary storyline for the series' first two seasons. Playing Hannah Baker eventually led to her landing another lead role on a Netflix show - this time as teenage sorceress Nimue in Cursed, which follows her encounter with a teenage Arthur on a quest for find the ancient sword Excalibur.

Langford exited 13 Reasons Why ahead of season 3, allowing her to ride on the show's trajectory to land some respectable roles, with 2018 ending up as a big year for her career. After her role as Vesna in 2018's The Misguided, Langford began to land bigger and more mainstream roles. Love, Simon was released the following month, which featured Langford as the best friend of closeted Simon (Nick Robinson), whom she happened to have a crush on.

Later that year, it was notably reported that Langford landed a secret role in Avengers: Endgame, but it was ultimately cut from the theatrical version of the film. She was meant to play a teenage version of Tony Stark's daughter, Morgan, who would appear to him in the Soul World, shortly after he snapped way Thanos' army. But as they decided it didn't make sense with the final version of the film, directors Anthony and Joe Russo cut her role out. But Langford ended up starring alongside Endgame star Chris Evans later in the star-studded cast of Knives Out, where she played Meg, the granddaughter of the murder victim, Harlan Thrombey.

Thanks to 13 Reasons Why, Langford has gotten plenty of visibility with supporting roles in high-profile films, but Cursed is the first time she's truly taking the lead. The Netflix show has the potential to be a stepping stone for Langford into the leading lady phase of her career, but audiences will just have to wait and see what comes from Cursed season 1. And at some point after that, she'll reappear on Netflix in Brian Duffield's sci-fi film Spontaneous. Langford's future is certainly looking bright.
