Batman is Better Than Daredevil, According To [SPOILER]

With DC's villains taken care of, Batman decides to show the Marvel supervillain Bullseye why he's even more dangerous than Daredevil. Superhero fans have always loved to pit their heroes against one another. Who is the strongest; the Hulk or Superman? Could Flash beat Quicksilver in a race? And what would happen if the Justice League and the Avengers went head-to-head?

1996's DC Versus Marvel miniseries answered many of those questions. In that story, two long-lasting comic book universes collided to spectacular effect. Readers got to see so many fight they'd previously only imagined, and even voted on the outcome of the title matches. That explained some of the distinctly odd results, given realistically there was no way Wolverine should have taken down Lobo, while Wonder Woman should have been able to handle the lightning summoned by the X-Men's Storm. Oddly enough, though, the focus on the various battles meant some of the more entertaining sub-plots were never developed. One of the most interesting saw Bullseye emerge in the Batcave, and discover Batman is far more dangerous than the Man Without Fear.

Bullseye is Marvel's most dangerous assassin, and he was understandably taken aback at suddenly materializing in the Batcave. He immediately grabbed Robin (then Tim Drake), and attempted to use him as a hostage. Batman was understandably somewhat nonplussed at the fact Bullseye had no idea who he was, but took the opportunity to introduce himself. "If you hurt the boy," he warned, "I am your worst nightmare. I am the Batman."

Bullseye wasn't impressed, but he focused all his attention on Batman - giving Robin the chance to to give him an elbow in the windpipe. The Dark Knight followed this up with a Batarang, but Bullseye captured it and tossed it straight back. In Bullseye's hands, anything can become a weapon; he's been known to kill people with a pencil. No doubt the returned Batarang was intended to kill Batman, but to Bullseye's shock the Dark Knight ducked it. "But I never miss," Bullseye gasped in surprise. He was even more surprised when Batman thumped him in the chin. "You hit... even harder than... than... Daredevil."

Bullseye is one of the most dangerous men in the Marvel Universe. There have been occasions when his marksmanship has been good enough to cause problems for super-speedsters like Quicksilver, and yet Batman is able to duck a Batarang thrown at almost point-blank range. It's clear that, if Bullseye lived in the DC Universe, he's just be another of Batman's low-level threats. Maybe the Dark Knight could give Daredevil some tips if the universes ever cross over again.
