Twitter Users' Funny Memes of Elon Musk's Child X Æ A-12 As Robot & Alien

Since Elon Musk revealed the name of his and Grimes' son as X Æ A-12, the internet has been filled with discussion and memes. This has become even more prevalent on Twitter where the name is now a trending topic.

Musk is no stranger to creating attention online. Instead of just posting about SpaceX or Tesla, Musk often and frequently takes to Twitter to interact with the public. Although has social media activity has not always been the best for his companies' stock prices, he continues to make jokes and statements that many find random. While some have begun to find his antics annoying - as they feel he is always the center of attention during a crisis - this is one instance in which the public is thankful for the distraction.

Since X Æ A-12 was born, the first photo taken and shared by Musk was not a traditional meme, although it also wasn't what most of the public would have expected for a first baby picture. In a Tweet, Musk shared a photo of X Æ A-12 with the face tattoo filter making the child look like a sleeping, hours-old Post Malone. Following this, Musk shared the new baby's name with a Twitter user who asked, along with another photo of him holding X Æ A-12. Since then, countless tweets have been made poking fun at Musk and the child.

While only hours in the making, countless Tweets have already surfaced regarding X Æ A-12 and Musk. One of the mot common is in relation to the child not being a child at all, but a robot or alien that Musk has programmed. Building off this, another common trend is taking popular movie scenes or famous sound effects of robots and titling it "X Æ A-12's first words." These posts take the form of everything from the loud foghorn sound effect from the War of The Worlds to general glitches. Although it is predictable where the punchline for these posts is heading, they are still entertaining.

This is not the only type of meme or recurring theme that's developed from the robot and tech angle either. For example, some users have also joked that rather than birthdays X Æ A-12 will have software updates.

Albeit an odd name, like most trends on the internet, this will most likely be something that is popular to joke about for a few days before fading back into obscurity. It is at a point now where it no longer seems harsh towards Musk and his family, but rather showcasing how odd the choice of name is. Not to mention, when many are stuck at home due to COVID-19 this will be a welcomed distraction from the ongoing pandemic talk. Twitter is alive and well today thanks to Musk and baby X Æ A-12.
