Top 10 Aquarius Antagonists In Movies | ScreenRant

Aquariuses may be shy and conservative by nature, but they often have an energetic and eccentric side to them once they get comfortable. They are deep thinkers with a love for obtaining knowledge and are often mediators as they often see beyond the binary black and white.

On paper, the progressive Aquarius has some great qualities anyone would love to have but like any sign in the Zodiac, the qualities can be used for evil when they're part of the wrong people. Let's look at some of the best movie villains with Aquarius characteristics.

10 Michael Myers - Halloween Franchise

He may seem like a superhuman brute of a killer, but Michael Myers is a strategic and looming presence in any room he walks in. He works on his own and he's extremely hard to take down due to his planning and his knowledge of his victims.

He may not be the first Aquarius you think of when mentioning the zodiac, but his ability to adapt to any situation and his constant look for the thrills of the hunt makes him an ideal Aquarius.

9 Irving Rosenfeld - American Hustle (2013)

Portraying a real-life Aquarius in Irving Rosenfeld, Christian Bale brought out all of the Aquarius qualities and ideals of the con artist. To be a con-man you always have to be able to adapt to any situation and you have to be smart about how you trick and manipulate people.

Even when the FBI was on their trail, Irving confidently continued to work and adapt to avoid being caught, feeling the thrill of the chase and juggling his love life as the ultimate challenge.

8 Yzma - Emperor's New Groove (2000)

Aquarians may try to get along with everyone, but one thing they do not like is authority. They believe in giving power to the people and although it seems good, Yzma takes it a step too far. She turns her "boss" Emperor Kuzco into a llama.

Yzma is intelligent and eccentric. Her constant experimenting and outlandish wardrobe make her stand out and her inability to settle for anything less than the emperor's kingdom make her a true villain and Aquarius. She tries to build the world her way and doesn't let anyone stand in her way.

7 Brainiac - Superman: Unbound (2013)

Brainiac is by far one of the most Aquarius characters on this list due to his never-ending quest for knowledge and being the most intelligent being in the galaxy. His sole purpose is traveling to planets and learning their language and culture and he doesn't stop for anyone, not even Superman.

His intelligence allows him to anticipate anything and gives him room to adapt to any situation, making it hard for anyone to get the upper hand. Lucky for the world, Superman's willpower trumps his intellect otherwise we'd be in trouble.

6 Adolf Hitler - Jojo Rabbit (2019)

Portraying one of the evilest men in human history, Taika Waititi's Jojo Rabbit portrayal of the dictator takes a more eccentric and satirical twist. By no means is his character designed to be funny but meant to show how easily he manipulated the minds of young Germans and the community in World War II Europe.

Like a true Aquarius, Hitler demanded respect wherever he went and although he didn't share the progressive qualities all Aquariuses have, he was able to adapt his ideas to keep Jojo loyal to him and keep him brainwashed. Being a literal imaginary friend for Jojo, he disappears when Jojo stops believing, and if that isn't Aquarius, we don't know what is.

5 Scarecrow - Batman Nolan Trilogy

Scarecrow may have been overshadowed by the amazing portrayals of the Joker and Bane, but he is nevertheless a worthy foe for Batman. What makes him such a great villain is his never-ending quest of manipulating those around him to create a world where he is the judge, jury, and executioner and although he gets close, he is still foiled by the Dark Knight.

He is the only villain to appear in all three movies, do to his adaptable nature and ability to always set himself free when no one else could. He's independent but also has a loyal following that makes him one of the trilogies most underrated villains.

4 Justin Hammer - MCU

Justin Hammer's only MCU appearance has been in Iron Man 2 but he deserves a lot more screen time due to his eccentric and charismatic personality. He's a direct competitor to Tony Stark although Tony just considers him a pest and wannabe, and although he is continuously ridiculed he continues to think he's the smartest guy in the room.

Instead of letting Tony take the glory and slander his name, he helps break out a lunatic that tried to kill Tony and has him create a team of soldiers to take on Iron Man. He tries to use his wits and intellect to take on Tony rather than face him one on one because he knows his limits.

3 Darkseid - DCAU

Much like Thanos in the MCU, Darkseid has been a looming figure to the Justice League in the DCAU. Working from the shadow, using minions to do his work and continuously innovating his techniques to take on the League, he finally wins in the events of Apokolips War.

Like an Aquarius, he prefers to use his brain rather than his brawn and he has a plan for everything, adapting his punishments to suit every leaguer he takes down. He has a plan for the future and he can get aggressive when it's not coming into fruition. All the qualities of a true Aquarius.

2 Gellert Grindelwald - Harry Potter Series

Before the Dark Lord's genocidal reign there was a man who was just as evil, Gellert Grindelwald. Some may argue that perhaps he wasn't as evil or as powerful as Voldemort but his quest for ruling the muggles and exposing the magical world to the human world made him a threat to the wizarding world.

We all know the wizards take pride hiding in the shadows and keeping their abilities and world to themselves to avoid another war with humankind. Grindelwald is appalled at this and wants to show the world that wizards have what it takes to rule the world and he manipulates people into thinking muggles are oppressing the magical kind. His progressive ideas are dangerous.

1 Amy Dunne - Gone Girl (2014)

Amy starts off as a shy and quiet girl before she gets fed up with her husband and his dishonesty. Instead of confronting him or letting it go, she has an elaborate plan of faking her death and attempting to blame her husband even though he had nothing to do with it.

She's adaptable, she's intelligent, and she's always one step ahead, she may seem like a normal housewife, but she is much more sinister.
