10 Derek And Meredith - Grey's Anatomy

Derek and Meredith are the couple everyone rooted for from day one on Grey's Anatomy, but their relationship is quickly threatened when Derek's wife shows up at Seattle Grace and drops the bomb that Derek is actually still married.

This revelation causes Derek and Meredith to break up for a period of time, while Derek sorts through the loose ends of his marriage. Of course, Derek and Meredith find their way back to one another, proving that they are indeed, meant to be.

9 Brooke And Lucas - One Tree Hill

There are a lot of love triangles in Tree Hill and a lot of drama, but one of the most heartbreaking moments happens when Brooke sleeps with bad boy musician, Chris Keller, while she's dating Lucas.

5 Dwight And Angela - The Office

Angela and Andy are engaged, but that doesn't stop Angela from sneaking around behind her fiancee's back to have an affair with another officer co-worker, Dwight.

Aria Montgomery seems to have the perfect life. She's popular, she's smart, she has great friends, and comes from a solid family. At least that's what everyone in Rosewood thinks.

Aria and Allison are coming home from school one day when they see Byron, Aria's dad, with a woman who is not Aria's mom. Aria is shocked by what she sees and is now put in the position of what to do with that information, which is a really unfair place for a teenager to be.

Toward the end of Buffy the Vampire SlayerBuffy and Spike have developed an odd, but loving relationship. Spike is head over heels, in love with Buffy, so when he sees her kissing Angel in the first moments of the series' finale episode, he is pretty upset, angry even.

Julia and Joel's marriage is on the rocks by the time Julia meets Ed, another stay-at-home parent from school. Julia and Ed quickly bond having both found themselves unemployed and parenting full time, and neither really likes it.

Julia and Ed's relationship gets stronger and eventually, Julia realizes she's having an emotional affair. She goes to end things with Ed, but they end up kissing instead, and that kiss is the beginning of the end for Julia and Joel's marriage.

1 Cece And Schmidt - New Girl

Cece and Schmidt have been on again, off again quite a bit, and when they decide to give things another try, Schmidt struggles to break things off with his other love interest, Elizabeth.

Schmidt tries to date Cece and Elizabeth at the same time, and when Cece finds out, she delivers one of the most heartbreaking speeches from the entire series.
