10 Things That Happened In Season 1 Of Sons Of Anarchy You Completely Forgot About

The popular series Sons Of Anarchy was released in 2008 and follows a crew of bikers who call themselves SAMCRO, which stands for Sons Of Anarchy Motorcycle Club Redwood Originals. The main character of the series Jax goes through many trials in order to try to change the way the motorcycle club does business all the while dealing with family problems and life troubles. Since the series ended in 2014, which is nearly six years ago, it can be hard to remember everything that happened in the season that started it all. Season one was just as drama-filled as all of the other seasons, but it did include a couple of small scenes that are very forgettable.

Here we have listed ten things that happened in season one of Sons Of Anarchy that you completely forgot about!

10 The Opening Scene

There is a huge connection between the opening scene in the "Pilot" episode and in the very last episode of Sons Of Anarchy, and it can be difficult to remember exactly how the episode started but it introduces Jax riding his motorcycle on the highway and just enjoying his life before something big happens. Just like as in the last episode Jax is seen enjoying his final ride on that same motorcycle and eventually dies while being chased by cops. The opening scene definitely gives off a happy feel which is rare to find throughout this series!

9 SAMCRO Warehouse Explosion

The first incident that is shown in the first season is in the "Pilot" episode where we see the Mayans coming to demolish all of the crew's guns and weapons, which included the death of the two women who were there to guard the guns but ultimately were blown up along with all of the other weapons while hiding in the utility hatch. This is where all of the drama and casualties with the Mayans first began in the series and it can be pretty easy to forget about.

8 The First Time Jax Killed Someone

After the Mayans stole and destroyed all of SAMCRO's guns, they decide to steal them back and blow up their warehouse as well. While Jax was there setting up the explosives he was too slow and ended up getting caught by the Mayans crew.

Several members of SAMCRO killed some of their members, which left Jax with killing the two that were going to kill him. After all of the other times that Jax has had to retaliate and kill someone against him, the first time is very forgettable.

7 SAMCRO Being Hired To Find A Rapist

In the episode "Fun Town," the carnival comes to Charming which leads to Elliot Oswald's 13-year-old daughter being raped by a mysterious man there. He then asks SAMCRO to find the man who hurt his daughter and to return the favor, which ultimately leads to them finding the criminal and castrating him before killing him right on the spot. The episode is very drama-filled but compared to the other seasons of the series it can be understood how this can be forgotten since it is never brought up again throughout the show.

6 Tara's Ex & Stalker

In the season one episode titled "The Pull," Jax stops by Tara's house for some medical supplies for SAMCRO, and soon after he leaves Tara gets an unwanted visit from her ex who she had a restraining order against named Joshua Kohn. He quickly starts yelling at her and telling her his plans to get her back, which causes her to pretend that she wants him too. After he gets closer to her, she grabs his gun and shoots him in the gut. Jax returns after hearing the gunshot and he kills him right on the spot.

5 Opie Fights Kyle

Kyle was a former SAMCRO member who ended up getting kicked out of the group after he accompanied Opie to blow up a truck yard but bailed on him as soon as he heard police sirens causing him to be the main reason that Opie got arrested in the first place. Before getting kicked out of the group he gets burned and beaten for going against all of the club's rules.

Opie decides to get his revenge on Kyle after he finds him in a gym and says that they need to talk about a few things, which ultimately leads to them fighting it out. After they have a long drawn out fight Kyle talks about how much he misses the crew and wants to come back- but Jax doesn't allow it.

4 The Homeless Woman

It is believed that the homeless woman who appears throughout the series is the ghost of Emily Putner who was accidentally killed in the semi-truck collision involving John Teller, though it is never truly revealed there are a couple of hints throughout the seasons. She makes her first appearance in the first season as she gives Jax life advice and tells him what he should do about his difficult situations. Jax does eventually ask her who she is by the final season, but he disappears before getting to tell him anything about herself.

3 Tara's Tattoo

Although Tara's tattoo was not considered a huge part of the first season, it did give a great backstory to the love story between her and Jax. While they were dating in high school she decided to get a tattoo of a crow on her back showing off her support for the motorcycle group. The show really only gives a quick look at it before sharing the reason that she has it in the first place, but it definitely worked as a foreshadowing for her and Jax's future relationship.

2 Donna's Death

Opie was definitely one of the most beloved characters throughout the entire series and he was loved even more after his death in season 5. But throughout the entire first season, we learn a lot about his children and wife Donna. It's no secret that Donna is not a huge fan of Opie being in SAMCRO but when she does decide to support him and be a part of the club is when something horrible happens to her.

Clay orders Tig to kill Opie while he is driving in his truck to make it look like a drive-by, but when Clay sees that it is actually Donna driving his truck things take a dramatic change. Tig doesn't have his phone on him and is just trying to complete the job while Clay is trying to call him to get him to stop but it is too late and he accidentally kills her instead of Opie. This could be a moment that is pretty hard to forget, but after all of the drama from the other seasons and storylines, it can be easily forgotten.

1 Elvis Impersonator

An Elvis impersonator sounds like it would be hard to forget on such a popular series, but not in this case. In the "Pilot" episode, Half-Sack is seen beating up an Asian Elvis impersonator so that Bobby Munson will get his shine in the spotlight. The episode ends with Bobby singing the classic "I Can't Help Falling In Love" as the scenes play over with all of the other storylines. Since this is the one and only time viewers get to see Bobby sing in such a powerful manner, it's kind of surprising how forgettable this scene actually is!
