Rhonda Paul and Sharron Townsend of the Netflix reality series Too Hot To Handle won fans over with their romantic bond. When viewers finished binge-watching the experiment many were left wondering whether ShaRhonda stayed together. The wait is officially over and the two are far from being done but it is complicated.
There were few instant connections on Too Hot To Handle which made Rhonda and Sharron's bond all the more special. Even when they did have a moment of doubt, where Rhonda began exploring a connection with David, David eventually realized how Sharron felt about her and decided to step back and give them a fair chance. Together they worked on building a meaningful relationship that consisted of open communication.
When it came to connecting and developing a bond under a set of no intimacy rules Rhonda and Sharron weren't perfect but they did learn from Lana's rules and their current relationship shows it. In an exclusive interview with ET Live, Rhonda and Sharron confirmed they are still in each other lives. While they have only seen each other in person since filming ended they have abstained from being with anyone else. They both expressed their busy schedules and now the coronavirus has made it hard for them to visit each other. Rhonda shared,
It's just a quick flight, and we kept trying and trying but it just never worked. I tried, but listen, we are great. Like, we still talk on the phone, we still FaceTime, we're still supportive of one another...If we can get together, I'm sure it'll pick up where it left off, no problem. We're trying to make it happen. It's been a year, yes, but that'll just make it more exciting. We've held out.
Rhonda living in Georgia with her son and Sharron staying in New Jersey has caused some friction in their relationship but the wrestling coach is still hopeful stating,
I have a lot of love for her. We are definitely still rocking...Initially, once we came home from the retreat, Rhonda and I kept in contact. We were doing well for a few months. Then, with work and all that, I kind of got busy, and then my mom fell ill. That caused me to [focus on] everything that was going on here, so we took a break for a few weeks. Then we got back and we picked up basically where we left off. So, things are going well. Prior to the coronavirus happening, we had made plans of visiting each other," he added. "And there's been talks of who is going to be move, so we can kind of make things work. We've been talking about relocating to Los Angeles, hopefully.
The Too Hot Too Handle experiment has proven to be a success when it comes to Rhonda and Sharron. Distance and personal responsibilities have limited them to FaceTime conversations but they are still working to maintain and improve their relationship. Though things on a worldly level have also contributed to their lack of one-on-one time hopefully when its all over they can make the reunion happen.
